Mataram - Pangdam IX/Udayana Major General TNI Harfendi S.I.P, M.Sc and his entourage arrived at Lombok International Airport to be greeted by Danrem 162/WB Brigadier General TNI Agus Bhakti, S.I.P., M.I.P., together with the Governor of NTB Zulkiflimansyah, M.Sc., Deputy Chief of Regional Police of NTB Brigpol Asfan Ruslan , and a number of NTB Forkopimda officials, Monday (5/9/2023) in West Nusa Tenggara.
The arrival of the Military Commander in the Korem 162/Wira Bhakti area as part of a working visit included checking the readiness for departure of Yonif 742/Satya Wira Yudha Soldiers who will be assigned as the RI-RDTL Border Security Task Force.
Upon arrival at Mako Infantry Battalion 742/SWY Jln. Pierre Tendean, Cakranegara District, Mataram City, NTB Province, Pangdam IX/Udayana was welcomed by Drumband Canka Wirayudha, then Danyonif 742/SWY Major Inf Trijuang Danarjati, S.A.P explained about task readiness to Pangdam IX/Udayana which was attended by Danpos Task Force.
Danyonif reports to the Military Commander about the readiness of the unit, the things that stand out, potential vulnerabilities, the situation in the boundary area and the number of stakes as well as the material and logistical readiness of the Pamtas Task Force which will be assigned to the assignment.
On this occasion, the Military Commander said that the Soldiers who were leaving for duty had gone through psychological, health and physical tests and had carried out pre-service training, meaning that Battalion 742/SWY was ready to carry out their duties.
"Understand the main task, the presence of troops there must be able to stop illegal activities and not become a backing for illegal activities," stressed the Military Commander.
The Military Commander also advised all soldiers to adapt quickly, get to know the community, traditional and religious leaders and understand the local wisdom, culture and customs of the people there, so that they are happy to accept our presence.
"Commanders, Danpos, are leaders, leaders must be able to be examples and role models for their subordinates and be able to bridge members' problems. "Carry out worship according to your respective religion, avoid drinking alcohol and always do good to the community and be assured that your duties will be carried out well," said the Military Commander.
